Crews are already installing the ice rink for “Glisten!,” a skating show returning to Disney Jollywood Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Ice Rink for ‘Glisten’
The rink is located directly in front of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway on Hollywood Boulevard. When we visited the area on Tuesday, October 27, we noticed that the rink was being formed. It currently has a white tarp over the center, presumably covering the skating surface. There are black coverings on the side.
Last year, rink preparations began in early November. Additionally, there was no actual ice involved; the performers are actually skating on a synthetic polymer ice surface. The skaters still wear metal-bladed figure skates and can perform many of the same moves as on real ice.
“Glisten!” will be performed throughout the evening during the separately ticketed after-hours event. The ice skating show is where international champion skaters perform to a holiday soundtrack of original songs and Disney favorites, including “Be Our Guest” and “When You Wish Upon a Star.”
This year, a few familiar Disney friends are joining the fun for the very first time. As world-class skaters glide across the rink in front of the Chinese Theater, keep an eye out for appearances from Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, and Genie, adding even more Disney character moments to the production.
Disney Jollywood Nights
Jollywood Nights 2026 kicks off November 7 and runs through January 5, 2027 — the first time the event will go into January. November dates are set for select Saturdays and Mondays, with December events on select Saturdays, Mondays, and Wednesdays. In January, events will take place on a Sunday and a Tuesday. The only date currently sold out is November 7.
This year, guests can enjoy the park starting at 5:30 p.m. before the event begins at 7:30 p.m. This allows for up to five hours of total time at the event, which runs until 12:30 a.m.
Ticket prices range from $179 to $199, depending on the date guests choose to attend. Tickets for children ages 3 to 9 are $10 cheaper than adult tickets.
