More Balloons Added to 'Up' Attraction, Ride Itself Still Missing at Disneyland Paris

More balloons have appeared on the queue building of the Up ride in Disney Adventure World at Disneyland Paris. The ride itself, however, still hasn’t arrived.

Up Ride Construction

DLP Report shared new photos of the construction site this week. Since our early October update, scaffolding has come down from the towers at either end of the building. Their red and beige paint jobs appear to be complete.

The left tower is missing some of the decorative molding already in place on the other tower. Crew members were working on this side of the building when DLP Report took their photos. Both towers are topped balloons on top of domes.

Balloons were recently added under the dome on the right tower. Below, one of the semi-circle openings in the tower is covered by plywood. Wiring hangs above the openings where light-up signs will eventually go.

There are already lightbulbs along the molding and what appears to be a ceiling light fixture inside the tower. Wiring also hangs within these openings.

Artwork revealed earlier this year shows what the signage in this area will look like. The doorways will have signs for the stand-by and Premier Access queues. Above will the ride’s name: Wilderness Explorer Sky Swings.

The “flying chair carousel” will eventually sit between the two towers, in front of the curved queue building. But there are still no signs of swings.

The ride is set to open next year.
