Additional steel framework has been installed for Project Fedora near Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Project Fedora Frame Update

This area near the exit of Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular has been under construction since March. Aerial photos taken earlier this month showed the initial framework, which has expanded considerably over the past couple of weeks.

The center of the construction site is mostly unchanged, with a large pile of dirt surrounded by a partially built wooden wall and black wire fencing. Markers are scattered throughout the dirt pile and along the fence.

There is still no confirmation of what Project Fedora will be. Based on the framework installed so far, the structure could be a building, a tent, or something else entirely.

Speculation online points to this area being an Indiana Jones play area aimed at younger guests; however, Disney has not made an official statement. WDWNT reached out to Disney for a comment and has not received a response at the time of publication.

Construction began in March with the removal of props and pavement. A tree was removed in July, followed by the arrival of construction equipment in September, and work has continued since then.

Project Fedora, named after Indiana Jones’ iconic hat, first showed up on a Central Florida Tourism Oversight District map of Walt Disney World back in May, when two permits for the project were also filed.

Disney has yet to confirm what Project Fedora will become.
