Another new pressed penny machine has been installed in Walt Disney World, this time at the Polynesian Village Resort. An updated colorful medallion machine was added last month.
Polynesian Village Resort Pressed Pennies

For context, the past Polynesian Village Resort pressed-penny designs included a Trader Sam’s tiki and the Great Ceremonial House, along with Mickey and friends, Stitch, Orange Bird, and Heihei. The above designs are visible in our photos of the neighboring new medallion machine installed at the Polynesian Village Resort at the end of September 2026.

The new pressed penny machine matches the medallion machine’s exterior, with beige metal sides and light wood corner accents. Purchases are made with a touchscreen, and a window lets the guest watch their penny souvenir being pressed by the machine in real time.

Physical samples of the pennies are displayed behind the glass. All the designs have the same island-inspired sawtooth border design and the Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort logo. Noticeably absent are the uniquely Polynesian Village designs of the Great Ceremonial House and Trader Sam’s tiki. Of the eight pennies, there are two repeats from the original set:
- Donald Duck playing a bongo drum
- Heihei (although this design now features him looking to the right instead of straight forward)

The six new designs include:
- Minnie Mouse striking a pose in a tropical floral-print dress with a lei and Hibiscus flower in place of her signature bow
- Stitch hugging Scrump
- Mickey Mouse wearing a Hawaiian shirt, shorts, flip-flops, and a bucket hat while leaning casually
- Angel and Stitch dressed in grass skirts and floral headdresses dancing the hula
- Minnie wearing a grass skirt, lei, and flower accessories dancing the hula as Mickey plays the guitar
- Moana hugging Pua
Each pressed penny costs $1, or guests can purchase all eight for $5. Guests can select their souvenirs using the touchscreen, which advertises the individual and full-set pricing beneath illustrations of the designs.
