Guests can collect eight new souvenirs from the fifth dimension with a new pressed penny machine at The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Tower of Terror Pressed Pennies
The machine features a dark wood cabinet that coordinates with the surrounding paneling. A touchscreen displays all eight designs, with a card reader below and a window offering a look at the pressing mechanism. Physical samples of the pennies are displayed behind the glass.
Each pressed penny costs $1, or guests can purchase all eight for $5. The collection features Mickey and Friends dealing with luggage and ghostly encounters.
Minnie Mouse appears frightened, with her hands raised near her face. Another design features Mickey Mouse looking similarly uneasy. Both include The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror logo. Goofy struggles with a stack of luggage that partially obscures his face, while Donald Duck carries an even more precarious pile of suitcases.
Pluto has his front paws resting on a suitcase in another design. Stitch wears a bellhop uniform and carries a suitcase beside “The Hollywood Tower Hotel” lettering. His outfit includes a small pillbox-style hat. Another penny depicts Mickey recoiling from a ghostly bellhop reaching toward him. The final design focuses on the attraction itself, featuring the Hollywood Tower Hotel building beneath The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror logo.
Guests can select their souvenirs using the touchscreen, which advertises the individual and full-set pricing beneath illustrations of the designs.
We found the new pressed penny machine at the exit of the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, just shy of Tower Hotel Gifts.
Collectors can also pick up four Tower of Terror collectible medallions while visiting the Hollywood Tower Hotel, featuring Mickey Mouse, Goofy, and other hotel-inspired designs.
