According to KTLA 5, police are searching for a man after two suspicious items were left near the bus roundabout leading to Disneyland on October 12th.
Officers found two satchel-style bags sitting on a dolly with wires sticking out of them. One nylon bag was duct-taped shut, with what appeared to be sharp objects sticking out.
The packages were reported around 9:30 PM near a fence at the Disneyland east entrance roundabout, according to Anaheim Police Department Sgt. Anderson.
The roundabout was blocked off while an explosives team and bomb-sniffing dogs were at the scene. The team found the satchel contained marbles, and the nylon bag held several miscellaneous items, including Disney-branded crowns and other objects with pointed edges.
At 11:45 PM, investigators determined there was no threat, but they believe the items were intentionally placed to appear suspicious. Police are searching for the man who left the packages and are using surveillance video and witness accounts to identify him. Police have not identified the man, and they have not released any images.
This is ongoing, and we will update as more information is shared with the public. Keep following DFB for more.
