Sister Suffragettes inspired by Mary Poppins and a Main Street Citizen were among the rare characters guests could meet during the 2026 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon.
Sister Suffragettes

As seen in this photo by Disney Character Central, a group of four suffragettes cheered on runners in the United Kingdom pavilion of EPCOT. Appearing for the first time, three of them wore “Votes for Women” sashes inspired by the one worn by Winifred Banks in Mary Poppins.
The fourth member of the group wore a red outfit and “Women Unite” sash originating from the long-gone Citizens of Main Street, U.S.A. The streetmosphere characters have not appeared since 2020.
The runDisney race was themed to Mary Poppins with key art of the penguin waiters and a race medal featuring a silhouetted Mary flying above the London skyline. Along with the Sister Suffragettes, the Bird Woman made her debut during the race.
The weekend’s 5K, meanwhile, faced criticism as it was Disney’s first timed 5K with “balloon ladies” setting the pace and long character lines.
