The reopening date has been set for the Sleeping Beauty Castle bridge at Disneyland Paris, which has been closed for nearly six months.
Sleeping Beauty Castle Bridge Reopening Date

The bridge of Sleeping Beauty Castle (Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant) will reopen on Saturday, October 31, according to DLP Works.
The bridge’s refurbishment included new granite paving, which replaces stamped concrete. Disneyland Paris said the paving will be easier to maintain, more attractive, and more comfortable for guests. It features 2,735 individual pieces fitted to follow the arched shape of the bridge and arranged like a puzzle.

In the center of the bridge is a compass rose inspired by the Three Good Fairies. Blue and and red branches point in opposite directions, representing Merryweather and Flora’s famous blue vs. pink fight. Green between the branches represents Fauna. A central brass medallion depicts Aurora’s crown surrounded by thorns. A brass fleur-de-lis indicates north.
The structure supporting decorative elements, arches, corbels, and spandrels were completely rebuilt. The wooden posts of the balustrade were replaced. The drawbridge has a new deck made of tropical timber. Several details were sculpted and painted by hand.
