Disneyland Resort has a unique new souvenir inspired by vintage TV sets and classic Disney animated cartoons.

Disney Animation TV Set – $99

The set includes a case shaped like a retro TV, plus three animation flip-books. The case is brown with a cream-colored front, speaker, and silver dials. The smaller dial is volume control.

The “screen” is a large flip-book that displays a scene from a classic Disney animated film, flipping through different frames to create animation. Music from the corresponding animated film plays from the TV.

One of three included flip-books presents the beginning of Steamboat Willie with Mickey’s whistling.

Another flip-book is based on Flowers and Trees. The third features a section from The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.

A Cast Member showed us the process of changing from one flip-book to another. The front opens and there is space inside to store the unused books.

The TV is battery-operated. It comes packaged in a box for easy transport.

Find the TV in Disneyana on Main Street, U.S.A. at Disneyland.

New Disneyland merchandise also includes Little Golden Book journals and a Chip ‘n’ Dale collection.
