A vintage-style action figure set featuring Spider-Man and infamous villains is now available at Disneyland Resort and on DisneyStore.com.
Spider-Man and Villains Action Figure Set – $99.99
This four-piece 8-inch action figure set includes Symbiote Spider-Man in his black suit with a large white spider in the middle, Mysterio in his signature green and purple suit, Dr. Octopus in an orange and green suit with mechanical arms, and Rhino wearing a gray suit with a white horn on his helmet.
They action figures are replicas of the real vintage Mego action figures. Each one is in its own small display box within the larger box. The graphics are also based on old Mego packaging.
The set comes with a golden coin that has Spider-Man engraved on it. The Mego logo is on the other side.
On the back, it shows the four action figures out of the box with a small picture of Marty Abrams, also known as “the father of the action figure.”
The description on the back of the box reads:
Marty Abrams, a.k.a. the father of the action figure, has relaunched these figures in response to overwhelming demand. Mego (pronounced “Meego”) Corp. was started by his father, David Abrams, in 1954 and named by his younger brother, Howard, who would say, “me go too.” Howard later became head of sales for the company. Mego Corp. sold over 20 million of its now standard 8″ action heroes worldwide, and Mego Corp. is proud to take over that fine heritage today.
We found this set at Avengers Vault in Disney California Adventure Park. Also grab it on DisneyStore.com.
Another action figure set online includes Spider-Man in his classic suit, Green Goblin, the Lizard, and Electro.
You can also find more superhero merchandise that we’ve recently spotted around Disneyland Resort.
