Outer Rim is an intimate, open-air lounge at Disney’s Contemporary Resort where guests can enjoy drinks and small bites with a beautiful view of Bay Lake. Here’s our review of its new food offerings.
Outer Rim New Lounge Bites Menu

Outer Rim is a small lounge located on the fourth floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
Outer Rim offers specialty cocktails and mocktails, plus beer, wine, hard cider, hard seltzer, and hard tea.
It recently added two new “lounge bites” to the menu: elote dip and a charcuterie board.
Elote Dip – $12
Served with kettle chips
The kettle chips are nice and fresh with a good crunch. The elote dip itself was served fairly cold, likely firmer than its ideal state for eating, so you may want to let it sit a minute before digging in.

The corn has been fire-roasted, with visible char marks, and it has diced red onion and mild jalapeño mixed in as well. Overall, it’s sweet (in that specifically corny way), creamy, and delicious, with a fairly mild spice that makes for a nice shareable snack. We think a squeeze of lime juice could probably enhance the overall dish.

Charcuterie Board – $17
Assorted artisanal cured meats, cheeses, and accompaniments

This is a fairly substantial serving by theme park standards, with multiple generous portions of meat, cheese, crackers, and crostini, plus several nice accompaniments. Some in our group loved the pesto on the crostini, but others felt it was too much.

As the dish’s description is broad, our educated guesses say this plate includes Prosciutto, smoked Gouda, salami, fig jam, crumbly white cheddar, and sliced mortadella. The spreadable cream cheese had French onion notes with a hint of garlic and a slightly gritty hummus texture.

While this is a good value, we felt the elote dip was a better option. We also noted that the plate’s vague description means they can probably switch out the included components as needed.
