REVIEW: See Ya Later, Gaston! This NEW Treat Might Have Just Upstaged A Magic Kingdom Favorite

Sometimes when you want breakfast or brunch in Disney World, you just want a cinnamon roll. There’s just something about the warm spices of cinnamon paired with hot dough and cream cheese frosting that almost always hits the spot.

Giant Cinnamon Roll

Now, we know, when we say cinnamon roll, you probably think of the one at Gaston’s Tavern in Magic Kingdom or the Mickey cinnamon rolls you can get around the resort, but we’ve got a NEW Disney World cinnamon roll to share with you, and it’s HUGE. You’ll find it at Summer House on the Lake in Disney Springs during brunch, and it is GINORMOUS.

We recently dropped into Summer House on the Lake to check out brunch and ordered the Giant Cinnamon Roll for $19.95. Yep, we paid $20 for a cinnamon roll, but WAIT until you see this monstrosity! It’s HUGE. We were also impressed with just how fast it came out, so if you want to order something quick, this is it. It’s served piping hot, which means the cream cheese frosting is melting all over the edges, and it’s all gooey in the best way possible.

It’s massive!

The cinnamon roll itself is fluffy with layer upon layer of soft, airy dough, with a nice even distribution of cinnamon between each layer, so you get that warm spice with each bite. The cream cheese frosting adds a nice subtle tang, and the sweetness balances out the cinnamon. It’s such a perfect blend of those classic cinnamon roll flavors we all know and love.

Now, let’s talk about the elephant in the room…the SIZE of this thing. This is something you could share with two or three other people. So if you take that into account, the $20 price tag isn’t bad at all. We certainly couldn’t finish it on our own, although we tried!

DELICIOUS

There’s only one thing really wrong with this treat…it’s only available on the weekend during brunch, which runs on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 AM to 2 PM. So if you’re craving a sweet treat in Disney Springs during the week, you might want to try out one of the many delicious cookies available at the cookie bar here (yep, there’s a cookie bar). One of our favorites is the Krispy Chocolate Chip Cookie, but we also love the Lemon Cookie.

We’ll keep an eye out for more new food in Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more.
