Walt Disney World has released new colorful medallions and next-generation pressed pennies themed to characters from Star Wars, Marvel, and more.
New Medallions and Pressed Pennies at Walt Disney World
Walt Disney World has been installing new colorful medallion machines over the past few months. They were first spotted at Pirates of the Caribbean, before appearing more widely at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. The last colorful medallion machine we wrote about had designs featuring Disney Princesses and puppies.

Star Wars Colorful Medallion Machine
A new medallion machine was recently installed inside Star Wars Galactic Outpost at Disney Springs. The black machine has a futuristic aesthetic and is decorated with red Rebel logos on the sides and front.
As with similar machines found throughout Walt Disney World Resort, you can purchase one medallion for $10 or purchase all four medallions as a set for $35.
Yoda Medallion
This medallion has a colorful portrait of Jedi Master Yoda wielding a green light saber. He is surrounded by a gunmetal border of stars and the Rebel and Jedi Order logos. The back of the medallion continues the gunmetal coloring and has a large Star Wars logo in the center.
Darth Vader Medallion
This medallion has a colorful portrait of Darth Vader standing in a hallway while wielding a red lightsaber. He is surrounded by a gunmetal border of stars, TIE fighters, and Imperial logos. The back of the medallion has a colorful image of the second Death Star with the text, “Star Wars – Dark Side,” superimposed on top.
Darth Vader and Maul Medallion
This medallion features a colorful portrait of Darth Vader and Maul standing with their backs to each other. They are surrounded by the same gunmetal border design as the previous medallion, and the “Star Wars – Dark Side” Death Star II design is on the back as well.
Mandalorian and Grogu Medallion
The last medallion in this machine features a colorful portrait of the Mandalorian holding Grogu in his arms. The pair are surrounded by a gold border filled with the Mythosaur and Mudhorn sigils. The back of the medallion is gold and has the Mandalorian logo surrounded by a border of Grogu and Razor Crest silhouettes.
Contemporary Resort Colorful Medallion Machine
Over at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, we found a new colorful medallion machine installed next to existing pressed penny and engraved tag machines.
Like the other machines, you can purchase one design for $10 or all four for $35.
Contemporary Resort Medallion
The first medallion has a colorful picture of a red Monorail running in front of a blue version of the Contemporary Resort building. There is also a gold border featuring a repeating pattern of Mickey heads and Monorails. The back of the gold medallion has the Walt Disney World logo beneath Cinderella Castle, surrounded by a circular border of stars.
Ratatouille Medallion
The next medallion has a colorful portrait of Linguini and Remy in front of the Paris skyline, with a blue Ratatouille logo in the corner. The pair is surrounded by a gold circular border of kitchen tiles. The back of the medallion has the same Walt Disney World castle design as show on the previous medallion.
Incredibles Medallion
This medallion has a colorful portrait of the Parr family – Mr. Incredible, Mrs. Incredible, Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack. The group is surrounded by a black border filled with gold Incredibles “i” logos. The back of the gold medallion has Cinderella Castle and the Walt Disney World logo.
Princess Merida Medallion
The last medallion in the machine features a colorful portrait of Princess Merida from Pixar’s Brave. She is standing with her bow slung over her shoulders in front of a pink-purple background. Her name and a scroll border surround the design, while the back of the brass-toned medallion has a Disney Princess logo and themed border.
Marvel Next-Generation Pressed Penny Machine
Disney has been rolling out several upgraded pressed penny machines at Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and Disney Springs. We found another new pressed penny machine at Disney Springs, this time at Super Hero Headquarters.
You can purchase one penny for $1, or all eight designs for $5. The designs feature the following Marvel characters:
- Captain America
- Ant-Man
- Thor
- Black Widow
- Hulk
- Spider-Man
- Iron Man
- Dr. Doom
