A new framework has appeared in the Project Fedora construction site at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Located near the exit of Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, the 202 square foot space has been under construction since March.
Project Fedora Support Frame
Aerial photographer bioreconstruct on X shared these photos of the new steel frame. It consists of horizontal and vertical beams creating a semi-circle along the outer edge of the construction site. The center two vertical beams have an oblong set of horizontal beams around them. The tops of each vertical beam have elements indicating more beams will be connected later.
In the center of the construction site is a large pile of dirt. The side closest to the stunt show theater is lined with a wood fence and black tarps. A short wall of wood is along the ground.
The frame is probably a permanent support for a future structure, whether that be an actual building or maybe something like a tent.
Props were removed from the area in March and pavement was torn away. In July, a large tree was removed. A construction vehicle arrived last month.
The codename Project Fedora – a reference to Indiana Jones’ iconic hat – appeared on the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District map of Walt Disney World back in May as two new permits were filed.
Prior to 2020, there was a truck that acted as a merchandise kiosk in this space. Since then, the area has sometimes housed outdoor vending carts and special meet-and-greets.
Disney has yet to announce details about Project Fedora.
