We love to celebrate Mardi Gras at Universal Orlando, and Universal goes BIG for the festive occasion with an opportunity to do a lot of Mardi Gras activities you might only find in New Orleans, like catching beads, singing along with live concerts, enjoying a fun Mardi Gras parade, and so much more.

Of course, the Mardi Gras celebration at Universal Orlando also includes FOOD (aka our favorite thing) and brings some cool food booths to the festival. So, if you’re wondering when you’ll be able to celebrate Mardi Gras in 2027 at Universal Orlando, we’ve got dates for you!
The 2027 Universal Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval will begin on February 6th and run through March 27th, so you’ll have plenty of time to check it out. You don’t even need a special ticket to experience it…your ticket to Universal Studios Florida will get you in. So you just need to visit Universal Studios Florida during that time.

Mardi Gras includes a lot of fun activities, like seeing a parade with some INCREDIBLE Mardi Gras floats. These colorful flots are inspired by New Orleans Mardi Gras parades and include traditions like masks, feathers, beads, doubloons, and jazzy music.

Mardi Gras also brings some special live performances to Universal on select nights at the Music Plaza Stage. Past performers have included Kaskade, Joey Fatone (NSYNC) & AJ McLean (Backstreet Boys), Bebe Rexha, The All-American Rejects, RuPaul, and more.

Of course, you can’t leave a Mardi Gras celebration without feasting on some New Orleans-inspired food. A variety of food booths will be set up around the park serving up classics like beignets, king cake, red beans and rice, Pimm’s cup, and more.

You’ll also be able to purchase special Mardi Gras merchandise to take home with you so you can remember the Carnaval forever. You’ll be able to grab themed apparel, accessories, pins, drinkware, and more.

Want to be a part of the celebration? Universal offers a Mardi Gras Float Ride and Dine Experience where you can get a three-course dinner and ride on one of the Mardi Gras floats during the parade. Universal will reveal more details about this special offering at a later date.
