Brown served as the first-ever ambassador in October 1970 after serving as one of 14 Walt Disney World Preview Center cast members.
In addition to the ambassadors, many opening day cast members and current leaders took photos in front of the castle.
Schott then came out shortly after 8:50 a.m. to deliver remarks.
Schott replaced Jeff Vahle as President of Walt Disney World Resort earlier this year. Schott is a 40-year veteran of The Walt Disney Company and began his career as a Jungle Cruise Skipper at Walt Disney World.
