A TikTok user captured video of her family being confronted by Disneyland Resort security after her mom jumped out of their Grizzly River Run ride vehicle. Her mom was then removed from the park.
Guest Causes Grizzly River Run Shutdown
TikTok user @adriannarodriguez24 (Adrianna) posted multiple videos about the incident, although she has since deleted the video in which she and her family explained what happened. Multiple commenters have recounted the story, however.
After Adrianna and her family boarded Grizzly River Run, her mom started panicking. She ultimately took off her seatbelt and climbed out of the raft. It sounds like this happened very soon after the ride began, likely before the lift hill.
The attraction was closed, evacuated, and drained for safety.
In one of the remaining videos about the incident on Adrianna’s account, the group is seen surrounded by security Cast Members, who say her mom will be removed from the park.
The second video was taken as her mom was escorted out. It seems the rest of her family was allowed to stay and later videos on Adrianna’s channel indicate they returned to the park the next day.
It sounds like Adrianna’s mom was not permanently banned or “trespassed,” only removed from Disneyland Resort for the day.
Standing up on a ride and climbing out of a vehicle are extremely dangerous, particularly on a water rapids ride like Grizzly River Run.
Disney has been even more strict about this after a 13-year-old fell headfirst down the 50-foot drop of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Thankfully, the teenager was okay.
Since then, multiple guests have been removed from Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. The water ride has similar safety concerns to Grizzly River Run.
