Walt Disney World became a “Champions of the Community” sponsor of the team in 2010. They became their jersey sponsor in 2017 and have continued to extend the agreement.

Magic president of business operations Charlie Freeman said at the Kia Center on Monday night, “If you think about all the NBA partnerships – Disney World and the Orlando Magic – I don’t think you could think of a better partner to have on our jersey. And they’re such a great community partner. We love everything they stand for and what they do.”

Walt Disney World president Joe Schott said, “This is really about creating magical memories that last a lifetime. Having Disney on a Magic uniform is the best of both worlds. And, of course, I’m a huge Magic fan, so it makes it even better to be able to support the hometown team.”
Disney and the team unveiled the newly redesigned Walt Disney World Atrium inside the Kia Center. It features updated artwork and advanced projection technology that will transform the space throughout games and events. The projections feature imagery from Walt Disney World theme parks.
Both Walt Disney World and the Magic are tied together by a vision of the type of magic that can be created in Central Florida. As the late Magic co-founder Pat Williams wrote in his book Lead Like Walt, “the more stories I heard about Walt Disney’s impact on (Central Florida), the more I realized that, in building an NBA team from the ground up, I was attempting to do what Walt had already done many times in his life. When he built his animation studio, when he created Mickey Mouse, when he launched the first full-length animated feature, when he built Disneyland and dreamed of a vastly more ambitious project in Florda, Walt always started with a dream and turned it into reality.”
