All signs of construction are gone from The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure at Disney California Adventure.
The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure Refurbishment

Refurbishment of the ride’s exterior began in August. Crews began removing scaffolding last week. There’s no more scaffolding or construction walls around the building.

The building’s design did not change. The paint is fresh, and the light blue now fades towards the top of the wave.
The building originally housed a theater showing the Golden Dreams film but it closed permanently in 2008. The facade, inspired by Bernard Maybeck’s Palace of Fine Arts, received The Little Mermaid-inspired elements and now acts as the ride entrance.

The most noticeable difference to the facade is King Triton. Previously, Triton and his trident were all the same patina color. Now Triton is a metallic gray, and his trident is a bright, shiny copper.

The ride has remained open throughout the refurbishment.
