BIG changes are coming to Disney World in 2027, including new themed lands, refurbished attractions, new restaurants, and more! While these things are widely talked about, there are others that get brushed under the rug, including the Disney Dining Plan.
The Disney Dining Plan lets you pre-pay for your meals, so you don’t have to worry about figuring out costs while you’re on vacation. October brought Disney’s annual price increases, which also affected the Dining Plan. On top of this, an even BIGGER change was announced for 2027. But don’t worry, we have everything you need to know before you go!
What Is The Disney Dining Plan?
The Disney Dining Plan is a way to pay for your meals before you even set foot in Disney World. There are several tier options to choose from, which all come with different meal credits you can use. Some restaurants are excluded from certain plans, so it’s important to look at what’s included in your package before your purchase. In 2026, two Disney Dining Plans are offered. These include the Quick-Service Dining Plan and the Standard Dining Plan.
Everything included in the Quick-Service Dining Plan is:
- Two Quick-Service Meals Per Night of Stay
- One Snack or Non-alcoholic Beverage Per Night of Stay
- One Resort-Refillable Drink Mug
Everything included in the Standard Dining Plan is:
- One Quick-Service Meal Per Night of Stay
- One Table-Service Meal Per Night of Stay
- One Snack or Non-alcoholic Beverage Per Night of Stay
- One Resort-Refillable Drink Mug
Now that you know what’s included, let’s break down the costs.
The Price Changes
Each October, Disney World is hit with a slew of price increases, and this year was no different. One of the offerings that increased was the Disney Dining Plan. In 2026, the Dining Plan prices were as follows:
- Quick-Service Dining Plan Adult: $60.47 per person, per night
- Quick-Service Dining Plan Children (Ages 3-9): $26.16 per person, per night
- Standard Dining Plan Adult: $98.59 per person, per night
- Standard Dining Plan Children (Ages 3-9): $31.94 per person, per night
In 2027, the cost of the Disney Dining Plans will increase to:
- Quick-Service Dining Plan Adult: $62.78 per person, per night
- Quick-Service Dining Plan Children (Ages 3-9): $25.82 per person, per night
- Table-Service Dining Plan Adult: $99.87 per person, per night
- Table-Service Dining Plan Children (Ages 3-9): $31.94 per person, per night
- Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan Adult: $163.01 per person, per night
- Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan Children (Ages 3-9): $46.85 per person, per night
Now, I know what you’re probably thinking: “Where the heck did those extra dining plans come from?!” Don’t freak out — I have the answer! Let’s get into the newest addition to the Disney Dining Plan debuting in 2027!
The Addition Of A New Dining Plan
A third option will be available for guests traveling to Disney World in 2027: The Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan. This will include:
- Two table service entrées, dessert (lunch and dinner only), OR full buffet;
- Guests under 21 years of age can choose one non-alcoholic beverage with their Quick Service and Table Service meal (including specialty beverages for guests 10 years old and over — i.e., Artisanal Milk Shakes, Fresh Smoothies, Premium Hot Chocolates, or Soda, Coffee, or Tea — where offered).
- Guests 21 and older can choose either one non-alcoholic beverage (including specialty beverages where offered) or one single-serving mixed cocktail, beer, or wine (where offered) within their meal entitlement.
- One quick service meal, including entrée OR combo meal;

- One snack/nonalcoholic drink
- One Resort refillable drink mug per person, per package
Pros To The Dining Plan
Of course, there are pros and cons to almost EVERYTHING in the world, so let’s talk about the list regarding the Disney Dining Plan. Starting with the pros, it is extremely convenient. You won’t have to worry about paying at every restaurant you eat at. Simply pay once when you purchase the Dining Plan and tap your MagicBand or room key at each dining location! Your receipt will tell you how many credits you have left, so you also won’t have to worry about keeping track of the number of credits you have left!
Another pro is the savings, especially if you’re traveling with kids! If you do your math correctly, you can make the Dining Plan EXTREMELY worth it. For example, instead of getting the cheapest quick-service meal on the menu, get the most experience! You may have leftovers, but you can always snack on them during the day! When it comes to the Dining Plan, the more money you “spend,” the better you’ll make out!
OH, and the dining plan includes one single-serving alcoholic drink with each meal. Some Disney World drinks are $22 alone, so this is a really big deal.
Now, let’s talk about the “traveling with kids” part. In 2027, guests who purchase the Dining Plan can save up to 20% on the Dining Plan for kids ages 3 to 9. It’s important to note that this deal is only available when you purchase a vacation package that includes a Dining Plan for your family.
My last pro brings me to the unlimited refills aspect of the Dining Plan. Each Dining Plan comes with a Resort Refillable Mug, which is good for up to 14 days of your vacation. You can use this at both your home resort and the other resorts around the property. Fountain drinks can cost anywhere between $4 and $6 nowadays, so having a mug you can refill unlimitedly is a MAJOR plus!
Cons To The Dining Plan
Now, let’s talk about the cons. Remember how I said that if you do your math correctly, you’ll make out better? While that’s true, it also comes with a LOT of planning. Do your math wrong, and you could actually be losing money rather than saving! Planning out your meals in advance can also be exhausting. The convenience may not be worth your energy.
You also may not use all of the credits on your vacation. Depending on what you get, meals at Disney World can be extremely filling, which may leave you with extra credits at the end of the day. While those credits do roll over to the next day, you may not use them all and lose out on that money.
Getting the Disney Dining Plan can either save you a lot of money OR leave you wondering why you bought it in the first place. That’s why we created this Disney Dining Plan Guide! It walks you through how it actually works, which restaurants give you the best value, and how to make the most of every credit. Check it out before your next trip!
