Recently, Disney has announced new lands, attractions, and entertainment headed to the theme parks, new ships coming to the Disney Cruise Line, and so much more. But what about those projects that Disney hasn’t exactly announced yet?
Keeping up with the latest construction permits Disney World files can be a great way to find out just what is going on around the parks and hotels, and we recently spotted some you might want to know about!
We’re always on the hunt for the latest construction permits filed by Disney to get an idea of what sort of changes might be coming to the parks, and here’s what we found this time around!
Disney has filed a new permit for the Monstropolis show coming to the Glob Theater at Hollywood Studios! The contractor listed on the permit is Buena Vista Construction Company, Disney’s in-house company. The description of the permit is to “Provide labor, material and/or electrical for construction,” so this sounds like some general construction rather than anything exciting like installing set elements or signage.
Also in Hollywood Studios, it looks like Star Tours might be getting a little love here soon. A new permit for general construction was recently filed, and the contractor on this one is Engineering Design Services. This company specializes in everything from mechanical and piping engineering, electrical engineering, civil and structural engineering, and more. As of now, we haven’t seen any upcoming closures pop up for this ride, so it’s likely that this work won’t impact your trip to any galaxies far, far away.
Over at EPCOT, we spotted a recently filed permit to install signage in the Germany Pavilion. The permit doesn’t say what the signage is, or where exactly in the pavilion it will be installed, but the contractor listed is Kentavo, LLC, who has done extensive work installing signage with Disney in the past.
And finally, over at Animal Kingdom, Disney filed a permit for electrical work that matches up with an address in the upcoming Pueblo Esperanza land. The work is being done at a building behind the former Restaurantosaurus, so it’s possible that this project will have something to do with the new quick-service spot coming to the Tropical Americas-themed land.
In the meantime, we’ll be on the hunt for new updates from Disney World and more — so stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest news and check out our video below!
