We’ve got the reopening date for a Disney World water park!
Typhoon Lagoon
It’s the off-season for the Disney World water parks, and that means that they’re taking turns getting refurbished. While both were open during the summer, Typhoon Lagoon closed immediately following the rush season, and soon, it’ll be Blizzard Beach‘s turn to close while Typhoon Lagoon reopens. So when does that happen? Disney just revealed!
Disney has announced that Typhoon Lagoon Water Park will reopen to the public on January 27th, 2027. This means that Blizzard Beach Water Park will be closing for its refurbishment at the end of the day on January 26th.

If you’d like to visit either of the water parks between now and May 15th, 2027, the Water Park Seasonal Pass is available for purchase. This pass is $89 plus tax for adults and $83 for ages three to nine and it allows you unlimited entries into whichever water park is open. It has blockout dates from February 19th-21st and March 20th-28th, 2027.

Seasonal Passholders get benefits like a free round of mini golf at one of Disney World’s mini golf courses, as well as 20% off rentals for Polar Patios and Beachcomber Shacks if they book in person at the water parks. This pass could be a great purchase if you’re hoping to visit multiple times in a trip, taking multiple trips, or live locally.

However, if you’re traveling to Disney World in summer 2027, you should know that the summer water park benefit is returning for those staying at Disney Resorts. This means that if you have a hotel stay booked for a Disney Resort, you can get FREE entry to a water park on the day you check in. Disney hasn’t yet revealed the dates of this perk for 2027, just that it will be available in “summer” (and we all know Disney doesn’t stick to exact dates for the seasons of the year).
Blizzard Beach
The past couple of years, both water parks have been open during the summer while this perk was offered. We’ll have to wait and see if that will be the case for 2027, but it’s likely to be true so that one water park doesn’t get overcrowded with the influx of hotel visitors. We’ll let you know as soon as Disney reveals more information.
