The Grand Floridian Cafe at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has reopened with a new look after a multi-month refurbishment.

Grand Floridian Cafe Tour

The Grand Floridian Cafe closed for a multi-month refurbishment in July. In early September, it was confirmed that the restaurant would reopen on November 2.

Walking toward the restaurant, the entrance is very similar to the original entrance, with the same host podium and gold-framed glass plaque with the Grand Floridan Cafe logo.

So much of the restaurant’s interior was updated to fit the new look of the resort, including the lobby, which was updated last year. Before, the restaurant only included tables and chairs. With the update, there are now a few booths as well.

The tables at the booths and the front table all have dark wood tops matching the lobby’s front desk. The chairs at the booths and at the table in the front of the restaurant all have wicker backs and feature contrasting upholstered backs and seats.

The other tables still have faux stone tops, but have been updated from the tan speckled stone to white marble. The chairs at these tables have also been updated to upholstered chairs with oval backs.

The base of these chairs is upholstered in a dusty red faux leather, and the back is upholstered in a dusty red material with a repeating square pattern.

The booths are up against the walls, are upholstered with a teal faux leather material on the seat, and the back is upholstered with floral patterned material with a cream base.

At the back of the restaurant is a four-sided booth with the same wicker back chairs that are at the other booths.

Around the Grand Floridian Cafe, several different wall decor pieces have been added, including blue and yellow floral wall art resembling lace and mosaic-style art with coffee cups in the center. Additional furniture, like the green and white cabinet, has also been added.

In the restaurant, teal chandeliers are hanging from the ceiling as the main source of light. Throughout the restaurant, the original floral carpet has been replaced with carpet that has a modern floral pattern featuring a blue background, tan lattice work, and pink, blue, and white flowers.

On the half walls around the restaurant are a mix of small lemon trees and gold, four-tiered shelves with knick-knacks. On the shelves, there are several trinkets like gold boxes, blue bowls and jars, and clear vases.

At the tables, we were given two menus. One menu included the drink list of beers, wines, cocktails, and more.

The other menu we were given included the appetizers, entrees, pancakes and waffles, and sides. This menu is for the Grand Floridian Cafe’s breakfast.

Yesterday, we were given a look inside the newly remodeled restaurant. Disney also shared the menus for the Grand Floridian Cafe’s breakfast, lunch, and dinner services that start today.
