Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and one of the attraction’s gift shops are now closed for refurbishment at Magic Kingdom.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Closed for Refurbishment

When we passed by the attraction, which is located in Frontierland, on Monday, November 2, 2026, we noticed that the ride had officially closed for refurbishment.

There was no water running, and several of the log-shaped boat vehicles were lined up at the front of the ride. We also noticed that there was no ride audio and that the work lights were on.

When we walked by Tiana Bayou Adventure’s entrance, there was a rope to let guests know that the ride was not open.

Tiana’s Bayou General Store, the gift shop located at the ride’s exit within the area, is also closed. However, Critter Co-Op, the shop located outside the ride’s entrance, remains open.

We previously reported that the ride would close around this time back in August. Earlier this month, Disney announced that the attraction, as well as the gift shop, will reopen on Friday, December 18, just one week before Christmas.

It’s not unusual for water rides like Tiana’s Bayou Adventure to close for brief refurbishments in the winter.

In January and February 2025, the ride closed early on several dates rather than going through a complete closure. This will be the ride’s first major refurbishment since opening in 2024.
