Well, that was a short-lived heartbreak! After Monday’s disappointing news about Impressions de France potentially losing its evening showtimes in 2027, Disney has updated its operating calendar, and things are looking much better for fans of this original EPCOT attraction.
Earlier this week, I shared my concerns after Disney’s 2027 calendar showed a significant reduction in operating hours for Impressions de France at the France pavilion. Beginning January 1, the film appeared to have just a 30-minute morning window, from 9:00 to 9:30 AM, with no evening performances. Thankfully, that has changed!
Disney’s updated calendar now includes the familiar evening operating hours for January 2027, bringing the attraction back to its current schedule:
- Morning: 9 AM to 9:30 AM
- Evening: 7 PM to 8:45 PM
The Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along, which shares the Palais du Cinéma theater, will continue to occupy most of the daytime hours, generally running from 10 AM to 6:30 PM.
Disney hasn’t explained why the evening hours disappeared from its calendar in the first place, so we can’t say for certain whether this was a scheduling error. However, the quick correction certainly suggests that possibility.
Impressions de France has welcomed EPCOT guests since the park opened in 1982. The 18-minute film takes audiences through the French countryside, historic landmarks, and beautiful scenery, accompanied by music arranged by Disney Legend Buddy Baker.
As someone who loves EPCOT’s original attractions, I’m relieved to see those evening hours return. I still wish Disney would give this beautiful film more opportunities throughout the day, but for now, I’ll happily take this update!
Hopefully, Monday’s heartbreak was simply a false alarm – and perhaps even more showtimes could be added in the future? …PLEASE?
