Queue and Pre-Show
While guests wait in line in the rotunda, a few of the posters have changed. The red poster, seen in the above photo on the left, now reads “Holly Jolly Hollywood Mayhem. G-Force Records Presents: The Electric Mayhem Holiday Concert with Special Guests Cyndi Lauper, Michael Bublé, Jennifer Hudson, also featuring Kermit the Frog & Fozzie Bear. Live in Concert. One Night Only.”
Meanwhile, the blue poster seen in the right photo reads: “G-Force Records Presents: The Electric Mayhem. One Night Only Holiday Concert with Special Guests Cyndi Lauper, Michael Bublé, Jennifer Hudson, also featuring Kermit the Frog & Fozzie Bear. Hollywood.”
When guests enter the small recording studio for the pre-show, where The Electric Mayhem is rehearsing their original song “Can You Picture That?” from The Muppet Movie (1979), holiday decorations, including garland, lights, and more, are placed throughout the area.
In the left photo above, festive tinsel is placed on the border of the flat-screen TV with Kermit on it. Meanwhile, festive holiday tins are placed on a ledge, with a Hanukkah menorah placed on a speaker. The right photo showcases green garland wrapped around the large wooden window frame that displays The Electric Mayhem practicing.
Red and green tinsel is also placed on the flat-screen TV, while Scooter is wearing a red scarf with snowflakes on it, as well as a Santa hat. A lit Christmas tree stands to the left of Scooter and is decorated with tinsel, ornaments, and multi-colored lights.
Coaster Launch Countdowns
When guests leave the pre-show, they enter the area where the roller coaster takes off. While riders wait for the roller coaster to blast off into the tunnel, there are a few launch signs that have gotten a holiday makeover.
The “Hollywood Fwy” sign now has multi-colored Christmas lights at the top, and the “Face Forward” and “Keep Your Head Back” signs have a holiday sweater-type design as well as a video of Animal.
The countdown has also switched to sweater-style designs featuring characters including Fozzie Bear in purple and pink, Scooter in red, white, and green, Miss Piggy in pink, white, and blue, Kermit in red, white, and green, and Gonzo in blue, white, and gold.
In a second countdown video, Animal is the only Muppet featured. The directions and countdown remain the same, but instead of the sweater design, it’s a red background with white dotted and swirl designs on the different screens. Animal’s hand is used as “one.”
A third countdown design has a ribbon-like feel to it, as Animal is also the only Muppet featured. During the countdown, Animal uses his fingers to count down, as well as the numbers, either made of ribbon, printed on a shape, or on a holiday tag, are displayed in the middle.
Ride Exit and On-Ride Photos
When guests exit the ride, the unloading area is also decked out in holiday decor, including a line of seven Christmas trees with multi-colored ornaments in between the sold-out The Electric Mayhem posters.
In addition to the overlay, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets will also receive holiday-themed on-ride photos.
As holiday events at Walt Disney World Resort will soon be starting, decorations have begun arriving throughout Disney’s Hollywood Studios, including window displays, fake snow machines, and tinsel stars.
