While visiting Islands of Adventure, we took a stroll through Camp Jurassic and spotted construction walls near the exit of Pteranodon Flyers. Scaffolds and other equipment are now set up around the ride track as the unscheduled maintenance we reported on earlier this week continues.
Scaffolds are installed around the lift hill at the ride’s beginning and no ride vehicles were visible. The work seems to be focused mainly on the lift at this time.
No workers were in the area when we came by, and it’s unknown how long work will continue on Pteranodon Flyers. The attraction takes guests on a scenic tour above Camp Jurassic, although it’s famously only available for small children and one accompanying parent to ride.
The Camp Jurassic play area is still open while maintenance is taking place on the Pteranodon Flyers ride, but a few sections of the playground are blocked off by construction walls.
