Your experience at Orlando International Airport is about to be very DIFFERENT…if you go through Terminal C, that is!
Terminal C is the brand NEW terminal coming to the airport later this year. We’ve already heard about how the new terminal will feature a brand new restaurant from Chef Art Smith, another spot from Wine Bar George, 2 places from the owners of The Polite Pig, a new Disney store, and MORE. But now we’ve got some additional details to share about this new terminal experience.
Orlando International Airport has released a press statement showcasing some of the NEW spots coming to Terminal C, and just how they’ll highlight both national brands, as well as local flavors and companies.
According to Yovannie Rodriguez, Chief Administrative Officer of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, Terminal C will feature “more than 80,000 square feet of concession space.”
93% of the concessions will be located past the security checkpoints, while the remaining ones will be located before security. According to the airport, this was “done intentionally to enhance the customer experience and ensure the ability for proper timing and planning for those flying in and out of Orlando International.”
Let’s start with the FOOD!
Food
When it comes to dining, there will be more than 24 locations throughout Terminal C. In terms of national brands, you’ll find:
- Starbucks,
- Chick-Fil-A,
- Auntie Anne’s, and
- Cinnabon.
But Terminal C will also feature some local concepts too, including:
- Barnie’s Coffee & Tea Co.
- Wine Bar George
- Orange County Brewers
- Provisions by Cask & Larder (from the folks over at The Polite Pig)
- PGA Tour Grill
- Raw Juice
- Cucina & Co.
- Olde Hearth Bread Co.
- Cask & Larder Public House (also associated with the people from The Polite Pig)
- Orlando Brewing Bar & Bites
- Sunshine Diner by Chef Art Smith
But wait…there’s MORE! Other spots in terminal C will include:
- Eola Market
- Shake Shack
- Harvest & Grounds
- Summer House Orlando
- Greenbeat
- Desano Pizzeria
- Main Street Market with Einstein Bros. Bagels
- Replenish with Illy Coffee
Shopping
Along with the food, there will be shops available for guests to enjoy at Terminal C, some of which will be Orlando-specific. There will be (as we mentioned above) a new Disney store, as well as a store themed to Universal Orlando, and another for SeaWorld Orlando.
According to the airport’s press release, “Close partnerships with these local theme park leaders allowed GOAA leaders and the construction teams to push their boundaries and imaginations to create one-of-a-kind shopping experiences that could only be found in Orlando.”
But that’s not all. Other shopping experiences will include:
- The Scoop,
- Gatlin Trade,
- Sunglass Hut, and
- Brighton.
There will also be a NEW City Arts Market shopping spot that will actually feature items created by local artists!
And if you’re not sure of what to do once you arrive in Orlando, you can stop by the TripAdvisor location. That will be a “retail outlet” that’ll have an interactive display wall. That display wall will tell guests about different travel spots around Central Florida and the world!
And the cherry on top of it all is the Plaza Premium Lounge. This is located on the 2nd floor of the Palm Court area and will have a dedicated spot for families, a restaurant and bar, and quiet spaces for those looking to do a bit of work.
EnhanCing the travel experience:
At our new Terminal C, travelers will be able to experience a variety of amazing shopping & dining options, local flavors, a world renowned lounge & so much more.
