Construction is underway at Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park, which remains closed for refurbishment. A permit filed by Imagineering implies crews may be constructing a new attraction at Blizzard Beach.
The permit is to “Install show items.” The contractor is Brilliant Fabrication, which has worked on other theme park projects, including Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. It’s possible the show items are for a pre-existing attraction, or Blizzard Beach will get a new attraction entirely.
Blizzard Beach was originally scheduled to reopen in March. Disney later extended the refurbishment through May. The Walt Disney World calendar doesn’t list any times for the water park through November 26, but it may reopen before that.
