If you’re a huge Disney fan, you don’t want to miss one of the biggest events of the year — the D23 Expo!

The 2022 D23 Expo will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center in California from September 9th to the 11th, 2022, and attendees will be able to attend exclusive panels featuring Disney experts, see rare pieces of Disney history, and lots more. But one of the best things to do is shop for all the exclusive merchandise — and we have some updates!

D23 Expo Marketplace

The D23 Expo Marketplace will be an all-new shopping space featuring limited-edition and never-before-seen exclusive merchandise from Disney, Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, National Geographic, and the celebration of the Disney100 (The Walt Disney Company’s 100th anniversary).

The marketplace will span 27,000 square feet of the D23 show floor, and in addition to branded merchandise mentioned above, you’ll also find exclusive D23 Expo merch like t-shirts, hats, lanyards, water bottles, and more!

Several new merchandise collections will debut at the D23 Expo! The World of Wakanda will be a new collection that celebrates Black Panther, and it will also be available on shopDisney.

Guided by the Light will be a collection from Ashley Eckstein, the voice behind Ahsoka Tano in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. This collection will include items that “highlight the importance of Ahsoka’s strength during times of deep darkness,” and it will also be available on shopDisney.

And Disney Munchlings will be a new collection of plush toys inspired by one of our favorite things…Disney snacks! There will be items straight from Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom, such as a scented Mickey Mouse Cinnamon Swirl Bun and a Minnie Mouse Wild Strawberry Cupcake! You will also be able to shop for these plushes on shopDisney.

Mickey’s of Glendale

The Mickey’s of Glendale shop will be back this year! This time it will be a little different, with three retail spaces featuring different “categories and experiences,” such as the Mickey’s of Glendale Main Store, the Mickey’s of Glendale Pin Store, and the D23 Expo Shop x Mickey’s of Glendale. The Mickey’s of Glendale Main Store will have merchandise such as hats, t-shirts, accessories, and more, designed by Imagineers.

The Mickey’s of Glendale in Store will be all about limited-edition pins, while the D23 Expo Shop x Mickey’s of Glendale will have the official merchandise of the 2022 D23 Expo. There will also be exclusive collections in honor of Walt Disney Imagineering’s upcoming 70th anniversary!

Virtual Queue

Through the Disneyland Resort app, D23 Expo attendees will be able to join a virtual queue for Mickey’s of Glendale, D23 Expo Marketplace, or Mickey’s of Glendale Pin Store. You can join by scanning a QR code at the entrance of each store, and you can even pay for items with Mobile Checkout!

Before the start of the D23 Expo, guests can shop for select limited-edition items using an online reservation system called StorePass. D23 will share more info on this later this summer!

Disney Publishing

Disney Publishing allows attendees to read “first-to-market books,” including 100 Disney Adventures of a Lifetime by Marcy Carriker Smothers…

…Cautionary Tales by Ridley Pearson…

…and Poster Art of the Disney Parks by Danny Handke.

Select authors will also be available for signings!

Merchandise Panels

And among all the panels available at the 2023 D23 Expo, a few will feature new products, authors, and even fashion trends, including the following:

• Women in Disney Fashion: Disney fashion icons will share “an exclusive look” at “upcoming Disney collaborations”
• It’s a Small Disney World: Celebrating the Art of Disney Parks: Learn from six Disney Parks artists who will discuss their art, the future, and “behind-the-scenes insights.”
• Cautionary Tales with the Disney Villains: The Imagination of Ridley Pearson: Cautionary Tales author Ridley Pearson and Walt Disney Archives Director Becky Cline will discuss insider Disney stories.
• National Geographic’s 100 Disney Adventures of a Lifetime: Expert Marcy Carriker Smothers will discuss “one-of-a-kind magical Disney experiences” such as dessert cruises with fireworks views or exclusive dinners in Walt Disney’s Disneyland apartment
• Hey Disney! The custom Amazon Alexa voice assistant technology will be displayed on the D23 Expo show floor.
• On the Show Floor: Check out activations from Visa, Amazon, Target, Aniplex, BoxLunch, Citizen, Enterprise, Funko/Loungefly, IMAX, Pandora, Ravensburger, and Sunglass Hut, plus others.

Tickets

As of right now, single-day Friday and Saturday tickets as well as three-day passes are sold out, but there’s still a chance to get a ticket! For a limited time, some single-day D23 Expo tickets are available for Sunday, September 11th for $99 for one-day adult admission and $79 for kids ages 3-12. If you’re a Gold Member of D23, you can get one-day adult admission tickets for $89. But don’t wait! There’s a limited number of tickets left.
