Splash Mountain ran into a bit of trouble over the weekend!

After an unexplained closure for a few days, Splash Mountain reopened in Magic Kingdom — but not without a hiccup. Some guests recently reported being inside a Splash Mountain log boat when it SANK! Uh oh! Now, Disney has released a statement.

Over the weekend, Twitter user @skyelaringrsoll tweeted a video of the Splash Mountain ride vehicle where she had just been seated completely submerged below the water.

According to Spectrum News 13, Disney has issued the following statement through a spokesperson: The incident happened toward the end of the ride and involved five visitors. All five visitors were able to get out of the ride vehicle safely. 

The ride has reopened without any known issues and guests are back to plummeting into the briar patch. As always, stay tuned to DFB for all of the latest Splash Mountain news — especially the upcoming retheming!
