The Lightning McQueen Road Gravel Sundae is made with vanilla soft-serve ice cream and chocolate cookie crumbs, chocolate sauce, and a Lightning McQueen Chocolate Coin for $6.49. Don’t let the underrated ingredients listed here fool you — this sundae seriously hit the spot. Sure, it’s not super complicated or fancy but sometimes that’s all you need!
The cookie crumbles were a nice addition, though it was more like a cookie dusting and we wished there had been bigger chunks of the cookies for more flavor and texture. The chocolate syrup was a rich and gooey contrast to the creamy vanilla soft serve, and the chocolate coin did give us that little crunch we were after — though it didn’t add a whole lot to the experience.

This treat would be perfect for kiddos — which makes sense considering a large number of families stay at Art of Animation! At $6.49, this is a little on the pricier side for a pretty plain ice cream sundae, but the good news is that it’s not too big so your kids (and you) won’t be overly sugared up!

If you’re looking for something a little more adventurous in your desserts at Disney World, you can probably skip the Lightning McQueen Road Gravel Sundae for something more exciting like a milkshake from Beaches and Cream at Disney’s Beach Club Resort instead!
