If helping people plan a Disney vacation is something you can’t get enough of, you might make the perfect planDisney panelist, and the search for the 2023 panel opens next week.
planDisney is an online question-and-answer forum for planning Disney vacations; you can get to it from the Help menu on the official Disney site.
For 15 years, thousands of hopeful candidates apply annually to become part of this diverse panel to help future guests plan their most magical Disney getaways. This year, the application window opens Wednesday, Sept. 7, at noon EDT and runs through Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2022, at noon EDT. Apply online at planDisneySearch.com.
Formerly known as Disney Parks Moms Panel, planDisney launched in 2008. Since its inception, guests have turned to the panel for proven experience and knowledge when it comes to planning a Disney vacation. planDisney panelists are actual guests, not cast members or Disney representatives, and they provide tips and recommendations based on their own experiences at Disney destinations.
In full disclosure, I was an active panelist in 2013 and 2014. The fun part about those specific years is that the panel was known as the Walt Disney World Moms Panel in 2013 and changed to the Disney Parks Moms Panel in 2014, so I was fortunate enough to be a part of both iterations. They were essentially the exact same thing; just a name change was all, but still fun nonetheless.
Panelists respond to guest-submitted questions and share answers about Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and Disney Vacation Club. Not only can guests ask their own questions on the site, but they may also search and save from more than 220,000 previously asked questions and answers on this official Disney platform.
Additionally, planDisney is available in four languages – English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese. The panelists are comprised of diverse individuals in different life stages; they come from large families, small families, and families with no children. The 2023 panelists will be selected based on their personal experiences with Disney destinations, their communications skills in sharing their Disney knowledge, and their ability to connect with guests looking for practical, helpful advice from their peers.
Again, applications for a chance to become a 2023 planDisney panelist will be accepted from noon EDT on Wednesday, Sept. 7, through noon EDT on Tuesday, Sept. 13. The application is a three-stage process: a series of short-answer questions, a brief video submission, and an interview. The 2023 planDisney Panelists will be selected in November and announced in January 2023. Applicants selected must be available to attend a training session at Disneyland Resort in December 2022. Additional eligibility requirements can be found on planDisneysearch.com.
