Hurricane Ian is headed toward Florida and the state has been seeing closures, evacuations, and is under a state of emergency.
We’ve already seen some closures in Disney World, and the Orlando airports are closing as well, and now we have an update on some of the other attractions in the Orlando area.
Universal Orlando Resort will be CLOSED on Wednesday, September 28th, according to WKMG. This includes CityWalk as well. The resort will remain closed on Thursday, September 29th, and they anticipate reopening on Friday, September 30th, conditions permitting.
Right now, Universal hotels are at full capacity and will remain in operation as they rake care of guests. Note that Halloween Horror Nights on September 28th & 29th is canceled as well.
SeaWorld Orlando is also closing on Wednesday, September 28th and Thursday, September 29th. They say they are taking all necessary precautions to keep guests, employees and animals safe. In addition to SeaWorld, their other parks, Aquatica Orlando and Discovery Cove, will also be closed on these dates.
