As Guests Shelter in Disney Hotels for Hurricane Ian, Mobile Order Slots Fill Up

Hurricane Ian has officially made landfall in Florida, bringing extreme winds, rain, and potential flooding with it. In preparation for the storm, Disney World closed its theme parks on Wednesday and Thursday (September 28th and 29th). The Orlando International Airport also shut down commercial operations, which means anyone staying at Disney World hotels is currently riding out the storm inside those rooms.

Disney Cast Members take care of the guests while they’re stuck at the hotel, often coming up with indoor activities like movie marathons or character meet-and-greets. Since most guests likely don’t have much food with them in their hotel rooms, another concern is making sure everyone gets the food they need. This is especially important now because we’re seeing many quick service restaurants at Disney World hotels fill up on Mobile Order availability.

When we checked the Mobile Order options for Disney World hotel restaurants, we saw that only a few restaurants still have open spots for food pick-up through Mobile Order. Among the options that were still available were Primo Piatto at Disney’s Riviera Resort, Roaring Fork at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge…

Other restaurants were showing that there were no Mobile Order arrival windows available. This included restaurants at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Disney’s BoardWalk, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and more.

If you’re staying at a Disney hotel right now and are looking for food options, you may have to go order your food at the counter instead of using Mobile Order. These restaurants are likely still open, even if they’re not offering Mobile Order at the moment.

Disney hotels may also offer hurricane meal kits, which would be available for guests to pick up and take back to their hotel rooms. Check with the front desk of your hotel to find out what options are available for you.
