Disney Springs Reopens After Hurricane Ian Passed Through Walt Disney World

This morning at 10 am Disney Springs reopened to the public after being closed Wednesday and Thursday due to Hurricane Ian. I came over to Disney Springs to check on the icon of the area, the LEGO lake monster. All jokes aside I wanted to check on the area to see if there was any damage.

As I approached the Lime Garage there was a huge line waiting to park, I guess everyone had the same idea as me. Once I made it down the escalators I saw that there was also a line for security. These lines definitely reflected to the crowds within Disney Springs. As I passed different shopping/dining locations I saw more of these lines. There was a line outside the LEGO Store, T-Rex Cafe and Joffrey’s Coffee and Tea.

I didn’t find any damage so far but I did see some Cast Members sweeping up leaves and branches outside of Pizza Ponte while setting up the tables for outdoor dining.

I also saw a crew outside the AMC Movie Theater that was putting the movie posters back up that has been hanging for the showing of Avatar.

The Balloon Flight attraction is down due to some lingering winds in the area. The Sassagoula River Cruise is currently closed meaning guests staying at Port Orleans Resort, Old Key West and Saratoga Springs can not take the boats to and from Disney Springs. When entering Disney Springs I received a notification letting guests know about the closure.

That’s all I have as of right now from Disney Springs. As always we will continue to update all of you on what’s happening at the parks and Disney Springs.
