The 4 Best Things to Do in October in Disney World

Hello, October! We can’t believe it’s already the spookiest month of the year, but it’s here, and we’re ready for more seasonal fun!

Halloween in Disney World

A lot has happened at Disney World this year — we got a new ride, character meet and greets went back to normal, new MagicBands debuted, and so much more. But, there is even more to come, so let’s talk about the BEST things to do in Disney World in October!

Celebrate Halloween

Even though Halloween has been going on since August in Disney World, October is the PRIME month to celebrate! Let’s talk about what’s already been going on first.

Magic Kingdom

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is back with special entertainment and food (but it IS all sold out!), there’s special merchandise available, some snacks in Magic Kingdom, and you can check out the decorations down Main Street, U.S.A. There’s also a special scavenger hunt happening in EPCOT featuring Pluto!

But, there are some things coming JUST in October at Disney World for Halloween, too! Most of these are fun foods and snacks, with a lot of them becoming available on October 1st. You have new things like the Black Widow Tart, Halloween Candy Cookie Pizza, Pumpkin Lunch Box Tart, Caramelized Apple Liege Waffle, and the Monster Mousse.

But, there are also a lot of returning favorites, like the Candy Corn Milkshake, Pumpkin Crème Brûlée, and Monster Margarita.

Celebrate EPCOT’s 40th Anniversary

EPCOT officially turns 40 on October 1st! Yep, EPCOT and Walt Disney World as a whole (or Magic Kingdom, really) share the same anniversary, as we celebrated the 50th Anniversary of Disney World on October 1st last year. But this year, it’s EPCOT’s turn! There are some fun festivities going on for the celebration as well.

Harmonious in EPCOT

First of all, there will be some celebratory FOOD! Things coming to the park include the EPCOT 40th Liege Waffle…
