WOW! It’s the 40th Anniversary of EPCOT.
To celebrate the big occasion, Disney has released merchandise and some themed treats and drinks like the Figment Sponge Cake. Lots of the treats are super colorful, and the Sake Cocktail Flight at Garden House is no exception.
From now until October 3rd, you can get a rainbow-colored Sake Cocktail Flight at Garden House! It features Samurai, Mt. Fuji, Tokyo Sunset, and Violet Sake. Many of these are served in the Japan pavilion at Garden House or at restaurants in the pavilion, but this is a fun way to try them all in one sitting!
We love all of the colors and think this is a fun little flight that you can share with your pals when celebrating the 40th in the parks. It reminds us of the rainbow drink trend that hit TikTok a few months back.
Now, for our thoughts on the drinks! The Tokyo Sunset (the orange cocktail) is made with coconut rum, peach schnapps, banana liqueur, and pineapple juice. It’s very fruity and sweet, so you’ve gotta like sweet drinks — this is a common theme throughout the flight.
The Cast Member we spoke to did not know the ingredients for the Mt. Fuji cocktail (the darker blue drink), however it tasted like a Blue Hawaiian to us. That is typically made with rum, pineapple juice, blue curaçao, and sweet & sour mix. These drinks are giving all the bachelorette vibes — so fruity!
Next up is the Violet Sake which is made with sake, purple pear, and lime juice. This is a fan-favorite drink in EPCOT and for good reason — we loved it! If you don’t want a full size or you want to try a few other flavors, we think this is just enough violet sake to be happy with.
And last but not least is the Blue Samurai. Both the Samurai and Violet Sake are available at Garden House to get full glasses of. This drink is made with shochu, monin blue curaçao, calpico, and lime juice and is really refreshing for a hot Florida day! Shochu is different from sake — it is a distilled liquor kind of like brandy or vodka and it can be made with several grains and vegetables like barley and sweet potatoes.
You can get this flight for $25. Overall, we thought this was a fun way to try a bunch of famous drinks from the Japan pavilion! Although it does have a $25 price tag, you get more variety and get to try 4 different drinks at one time. This one is available through October 3rd, so hurry if you want to try it!
