Review: Don’t Try to Eat This Snack Alone in Disney World!

Nothing goes together quite like Halloween and…nachos?

Mickey Pumpkin

OK, so maybe nachos aren’t quite as “Halloween” as pumpkin spice and candy corn, but hey — we’re up for a good plate of nachos any day of the year. We’ve already had Oogie Boogie DOLE Whip Nachos, but when we heard that more Halloween nachos were coming to Disney World, we knew we just HAD to give them a try. Come along with us to try some spooky new eats at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort!

Over at Landscape of Flavors (the cafeteria-style restaurant at the Art of Animation Resort), you can now find the NEW Spellbound Chicken Adobo Nachos, which are blue corn tortilla chips with chicken adobo, toasted pumpkin seeds, roasted corn, black beans, and a zesty pumpkin cheese sauce finished with lime crema and a ghostly pepper salsa.

These were…INCREDIBLE. Seriously, our reporter shared that these were easily one of the BEST things they’ve eaten in Disney World in a long time. 😮

The dish had an amazing blend of fall flavors. The pumpkin cheese sauce had just the right amount of pumpkin to be enjoyable without being overwhelming. The cranberries added a fun and unexpected sweetness when mixed in with the rest of the dish. The sweet potatoes were the perfect size for this dish — not too big. And the pumpkin seeds added a wonderful crunch.

A WIN!

Pair all of that with the savoriness of the lime crema (which balanced out the sweetness of the pumpkin and cranberries) and you have a TOTAL, ABSOLUTE WIN!

We really had no complaints about this dish! Our reporter shared that they were apprehensive about all of the flavors being combined in this one dish, but Disney knocked out out of the park here and everything worked REALLY well together.

YUM

Overall, if you love fall flavors and pumpkin, you’re a fan of nachos, and you’re looking for a food adventure that combines the best of both worlds — give this a try! If you don’t like those fall flavors though, or you’d rather your nachos only feature the classics — beef, lettuce, and cheese (we totally get it), then steer clear from this meal.

These nachos are available through October 31st, and they cost $12.49.

Don’t Miss These

Looking for a sweet treat to finish off your meal? You can also get the NEW Whoopie Monster here, which is a spiced apple whoopie pie with marshmallow buttercream and caramel! First, we have to give this treat 1,000 points for design. Just looking at this thing made us smile. 😊 How ridiculously adorable is it?!

Okay, let’s get to the taste. The whoopie pie itself was very moist. The spice that was mentioned in the description came through very subtly, which we really enjoyed. It had almost a nutmeg or cinnamon flavor to it and we thought it was very tasty.

The marshmallow cream was absolutely DELICIOUS, and the caramel within it added a nice additional flavor.

SO CUTE

But, sadly, it’s not all good news with this treat. While the icing and the eyes were a fun visual touch, they were VERY sweet — a little too sweet in our opinion. If you’re going to grab this one, it’d probably be best to share it rather than try to eat it all on your own because of just how sweet it is.

You’ll Want to Share This One

Still, if you like sweet fall flavors or whoopie pies in general, we think you’ll enjoy this. Just try to bring a friend to devour it with you!

We Cannot Get Over It

Like the nachos, the whoopie pie is available through the end of October! You can get it now for $5.79.
