As part of an effort by the Japanese government to generate demand in the event industry, Tokyo Disney Resort is offering discounted tickets for vaccinated guests for a limited time.
Sales opened today, which caused ticketing website to crash. Through the “Wakuwari” discount program, vaccinated guests can save 20% on 1-Day Passports, valid October 13, 2022 through January 31, 2023.
The discounted rates are listed as follows:
Adult: 6,320 yen / 6,720 yen / 7,120 yen / 7,520 yen
Junior: 5,280 yen / 5,600 yen / 5,920 yen / 6,240 yen
Child: 3,760 yen / 4,000 yen / 4,240 yen / 4,480 yen
The prices for vaccinated guests with disabilities are:
Adult: 5,200 yen / 5,440 yen / 5,680 yen / 5,920 yen
Junior: 4,240 yen / 4,480 yen / 4,720 yen / 4,960 yen
Child: 3,040 yen / 3,200 yen / 3,360 yen / 3,520 yen
Prices vary based on the date of the visit.
Last week, the resort removed temperature checks prior to entering the parks. Upon visiting the parks, guests must produce one of the following documents for a random inspection:
- COVID-19 vaccination certificate (indicating completion of third vaccination)
- Negative PCR result (using sample taken within three days before the date of entering the Park)
- Negative quantitative antigen result (using sample taken within three days before the date of entering the Park)
- Negative qualitative antigen result (using sample taken within one day before the date of entering the Park)
Copies of the above or images captured on smartphones will also be accepted. Guests who already have a valid 1-Day Passport during the discount period may be able to exchange them for the discounted price on the resort website.
