The time has come — it’s time for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!
We’re at the very first party of the season bringing you along with us for ALL of the updates. We’re also trying a TON of holiday treats to kick off the holiday season! But now, it’s time to get into the entertainment!
Characters
After-hours parties are great opportunities to meet rare and unique characters that aren’t always available for meet and greets during the day. You’ll also get the opportunity to see characters from afar during things like the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade and Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration.
We also saw characters walking around like Tweedle Dee and Dum, who were wearing festive scarves while they met with guests near the Cheshire Café.
Look at these two! Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum are out and meeting guests in Magic Kingdom tonight! pic.twitter.com/jMsgWRsapw

Moana was out saying hello to guests as well!
She could be found near the Enchanted Tiki Room in Adventureland.
We visited Aladdin and Abu in Adventureland while we were there, too.
And of course it’s not a Christmas party without Santa!
You’ll find him greeting guests in a gazebo in Liberty Square.
Ride Overlays
Several of the Magic Kingdom rides get into the holiday spirit with ride overlays. For some rides, that means decorations throughout the whole attraction, like you’ll find at Jungle Cruise (now the Jingle Cruise!)…
…and the Tomorrowland Speedway.
Space Mountain also gets some extra Christmas spirit…
…and the Mad Teacups had holiday lights and music.
Stop by Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor to hear holiday-themed jokes!
Others just have festive decorations on the outside, like Haunted Mansion.
Be sure to check out all the overlays while you’re there!
Entertainment
The party also has a lot of unique entertainment options! Let’s take a look.
Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade
One of the most iconic parades is back in Disney World! We’re talking about Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. The parade features some fan-favorite Disney characters including Mickey Mouse himself. Unfortunately, it was delayed for a bit at first due to bad weather. But Disney announced that it should happen at 9PM!
Sure enough, around 9PM we heard the parade coming! We first saw some iconic characters dressed in their holiday best…
…who led the way for Mickey and Minnie’s float!
We also spotted Clarabelle Cow…
…some Frozen friends like Olaf…
…and Elsa…
…as well as Goofy driving a candy machine.
The Toy Story gang was close behind!
We saw dancing gingerbread men…
…the Disney princesses…
…and also marching toy soldiers.
You can’t forget about our pals from Wreck-It Ralph!
Pretty soon we spotted some reindeer, which can only mean one thing…
…Santa Claus was close behind!
Santa is the parade’s finale! He was holding up a heart and waving to the crowd.
And that wrapped up the parade!
Rainy Day Christmas Cavalcade
Because the evening was so rainy, the Rainy Day Parade came out towards the end of the party! This time, it had a holiday spin, with many characters in their festive outfits.

Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration
On the Cinderella Castle stage, you’ll be able to watch the Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration Show! In the show, live dancers and performers will join Mickey & Friends to get you in the holiday season. Like the parade, this show was also first delayed due to bad weather, but it was ultimately canceled as well. Instead, a bunch of characters came out to do a shortened version of the show with a big musical number at the end!
Keep an eye on the My Disney Experience app during your visit to see updates about cancelations and delays.
Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks
A Christmas party wouldn’t be complete without a fireworks show, and during the party you can see Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks!
Minnie Mouse hosts the show where you can watch gorgeous fireworks while listening to festive music.
There are also lights and projections on the castle to match the theme.
Club Tinsel
Get out your dancing shoes and head to Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe, because that’s where you’ll find Club Tinsel!
There’s a DJ there who is hosting a dance party, so you can enjoy the tunes while you snack on some holiday treats or jump up and join in the dance party!
A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas
You don’t want to miss the next entertainment option — A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas. This stage show features some fan-favorite characters including Mike Wazowski, Stitch, and Buzz Lightyear!
During the day, these characters make appearances on the stage, but during the party, they are part of a show.
Disney Junior Jingle Jam
Over at Storybook Circus, you can participate in the Disney Junior Jingle Jam!
Here you can dance around with Disney Junior characters including Fancy Nancy, Vampirina, Doc McStuffins, and The Lion Guard. We also spotted Goofy dressed as Santa Claus at this party!
As you can tell, there are plenty of characters and entertainment to check out during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! There are still tickets available for this event, but they are selling out quickly, so grab them now if you want to attend. We’ll continue to bring you updates from the party, so stay tuned!
