We’re back at the Universal Orlando Resort for another busy day in the parks. Halloween Horror Nights is over and the fog is gone, so it’s time to get back out into the sunlight and see what’s new today.
The Fresh Eats stand in the hub has changed their menu slightly. The fun cold brew coffees are gone and the menu seems a bit more basic, but they do offer popcorn now. They have a new popcorn machine, so at least you can get a refill of popcorn before you get to the parking lot.
Holiday merchandise has started to arrive. Some of the non-dated holiday merchandise from last year is now available and there’s also a brand new Earl the Squirrel plush. He’s so cute.
Construction walls are up around the outdoor bar at Cowfish.
The Dead Coconut Club banners are still up, but the bar is now closed. We’re getting something new for the holidays, though.
It’s early, so there are still some Team Members working around CityWalk. Some areas have tape up and “wet paint” signs.
The Horrors of Halloween scare zone has been completely removed. This area feels oddly empty now.
We’ve got to be getting close to some sort of announcement for the new attraction going into the old Shrek 4-D building. There seems to be a lot of things happening around the exterior right now.
The HHN Tribute Store is gone and this corner looks really empty without a facade.
The barricades have been removed from around the entrance for Revenge of the Mummy. The attraction is still in technical rehearsal and not accepting Express.
Not all of the Halloween decor has been removed, though. The barn was the last thing to go up, so it only seems fair that it is the last thing to come down.
This photo describes us in the sun today. It’s a hot and humid day, even though it’s November.
Halloween Horror Nights merchandise is now 70% off and you can find things in a few stores around the park. The largest selection is in the All Hallows Eve Boutique over at Islands of Adventure.
A hearse has pulled into the 5 & 10. This carriage and coffin looks like it could be part of some sort of Christmas display.
A beautiful morning in Hollywood.
There are a lot of small construction projects around the park ahead of the holidays. The food stand by Cafe la Bamba is surrounded by walls.
There are also walls set up around the seating area in San Francisco. Don’t worry, Chez Alcatraz is not closed.
Conjure the Dark still looks fully intact, but will most likely start to get taken down tonight.
As Halloween fades away, more and more holiday decor shows up.
The Winter mint flavored No-Melt Ice Cream is now available. This seasonal flavor, as well as the seasonal Fall pumpkin flavor, as available in Sugar Plum’s and Honeydukes.
RIP to the Sledge Homer. This area just doesn’t look right since the skill game was removed.
Dress-A-Minion plush and outfits are back in stock inside Super Silly Stuff.
The Jurassic World waist packs are back in stock, too. These are really popular!
Scrims are up and there is a little more set enhancement in Port of Entry. The Croissant Moon Bakery is still open, but the side of the building is getting refurbished.
There’s a deal on whoopie pies in Snookers and Snookers Sweet Candy Cookers in Seuss Landing. You can get 3 for $8 or 5 for $12. With the Who-lidays coming up, we can’t wait to see what other snacks will be available.
It appears that the Lost Continent has gotten new benches. The clean, fresh benches stand out in contrast to the others in the area. We feel like we’ve noticed more benches and seating popping up around the park, which is good planning for the holiday crowds.
The crowds today have been really low.
This Honeydukes apron is incredible. It’s absolutely beautiful and would make a great gift for a Potter fan who likes to cook.
This Honeydukes jewelery is fantastic. There’s a few earrings, necklaces, and even a ring.
There may have been a little bit of room damage from Hurricane Ian done to Thunder Falls Terrace. The restaurant has half of the dining room blocked off.
The dogs in the fountain are surrounded by construction walls in Toon Lagoon. This part of the park has been getting a lot of refurbishment.
The Betty Boop Store in Toon Lagoon has reopened as a merchandise shop, but we’re still hopefully the UOAP Lounge rumor is true.
Wait times are really low today. This might be the slowest day we’ve seen in a long time.
Asked the Team Member to post for the pic and it came out amazing.
Fresh paint on the sides of the buildings in Marvel.
New ornaments for fans of the Wizarding World! There’s a Honeydukes window with Bertie Bott’s and a light-up Butterbeer ornament.
This stylish, long-sleeve dress shirt can be found in the Universal Studios Store in CityWalk.
That’s all for this visit to the Universal Orlando Resort. Thanks for following along with us today and stay tuned for more updates!
