It’s a Winter Wonderland here at Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park. They are reopening today with a new “Frozen” themed area at Tike’s Peak. In addition, we hear Tropical Santa is greeting guests at the water park. Ski you on the slopes!
We arrived first thing for the reopening of Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park. The park didn’t open until 10 a.m. but they allowed guests in at 9:30 a.m.!
As soon as we walked in Tropical Santa was greeting guests! It seemed like he was enjoying his holiday at Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park. We told Santa what we wanted for Christmas. You can watch our meet-and-greet with Tropical Santa here.
We arrived at the newly themed Tike’s Peak. Snowgies have been added to the Tike’s Peak sign.
Tike’s Peak is a children’s splash pad area. This area has been re-themed with “Frozen” characters. Anna and Elsa can be seen building a snow castle. But don’t worry Olaf isn’t far behind.
Snowgies have been added to the water.
Olaf looked like a happy snowman sitting on top of a perch with a Snowgie shooting water from his mouth below.
A storm arrived just in time for the reopening of the water park.
Unfortunately many of the slides and the chairlift had closed.
Eventually they evacuated everyone from the water due to lightning in the area.
New holiday floats could be seen floating by in Cross Country Creek. The floats were in the shape of a wreath featuring holly, ribbon and big red bow.
In the Beach Haus we spotted this youth “Frozen” themed spirit jersey. The back states, “Own your destiny,” and features Elsa.
In addition to all the new theming at Pike’s Peak, we also spotted a new cargo tube lift.
A new cargo tube lift has been added to Runoff Rapids.
We had a blast visiting Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park this morning. We can’t wait to visit again soon!
We decided to stop by Magic Kingdom to see if we could find anything new.
Filming was happening today for Disney Parks holiday special. But first let’s do some shopping.
A new pair of Minnie Mouse Christmas ear headband with pom and sequin bow has arrived in the Emporium.
There was also a Mickey and Minnie Mouse Christmas cookie cutter set available.
A “Bambi” and Cheshire Cat MagicBand+ have arrived in the Emporium.
More Christmas merchandise is arriving each day. A Minnie Mouse holiday sleepwear set with shorts is now available.
There was also a Santa Mickey Mouse T-shirt for adults in the Emporium.
An adjustable Santa Mickey Mouse ear headband also arrived in the Emporium.
There was an “Alice in Wonderland,” themed bucket hat featuring the White Rabbit.
A new Dooney & Bourke Collection featuring “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” is coming soon to Uptown Jewelers.” This collection is for the 85th anniversary and is arriving on Monday, November 14, 2022.
A new black woven Mickey Mouse Loungefly mini backpack has arrived in Uptown Jewelers.
In Curtain Call Collectibles we spotted this jacket by Her Universe featuring a vintage Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
A Space Mountain model kit has arrived in Star Traders. This model kit contains 27 pieces. The packaging is inspired by blueprints and Disney Imagineering notes.
New holiday themed headphone cases have arrived in Bigtop Souvenirs.
Holiday magnets have arrived in Frontier Trading Post. The first magnet is Santa Mickey Mouse. The second magnet is Minnie Mouse and states, “Make the Season Bright.”
This magnet features Mickey and friends and states, “Happy Holidays.”
As we made our way out of Magic Kingdom we caught some of the filming for the Disney Parks holiday special.
We could see some of the filming from behind a rope.
We spotted Ne-Yo on stage during the filming. You can watch “Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Celebration” or “The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration,” both coming to ABC this holiday season.
