Join us for a day full of fun in the sun at Castaway Cay as we explore the island, meet some characters, and end with a delicious dinner at 1923 back onboard the ship!

EXPLORING CASTAWAY CAY

There are plenty of things to see and do at Castaway Cay! After disembarking the ship, we were able to see quite a few character friends! We saw Chip and Dale, Captain Jack Sparrow, and even Mickey Mouse himself! It was so great seeing all of the characters in their tropical beach attire! After saying hi to a few friends, we decided to make our way to one of the beaches for a relaxing swim; and relaxing it was indeed! The beach felt fairly quiet, and the water was the perfect temperature. It was a great way to kick back and relax for a bit!

After grabbing a quick lunch at Cookie’s BBQ, we made our way down to the snorkeling reef to explore a bit! This reef is a really great offering, and there’s truly a lot to see! From fish, coral, anemones, and sunken artifacts, theres tons to look at and explore! You could easily spend hours in here. We did notice that the farther our you get from shore, the more you were able to see as far as wildlife goes. Also a little pro-tip, if you bring your own goggles and flippers, snorkeling is free! Otherwise you are able to rent those pieces for an additional cost.

DINNER AT 1923

After a quick nap back in our room, our stomachs were ready to feast after a full day out in the sun! 1923 is probably our favorite restaurant on this ship, so we were super excited to have it as our last dinner for this sailing! All of our food was fantastic, but our entree was the standout. Both of us ordered the 1923 Peppered Filet Mignon, with Buttered Long Green Beans wrapped in Smoked Bacon, Crushed Fingerling Potato Hash, and Pink Pepper Cafe Au Lait. The steak was super tender and cooked perfectly, and the Green Beans were buttery and super flavorful, especially with the bacon. Truly a great way to cap off the day and this cruise!

We had a fantastic day at Castaway Cay! Had so much fun seeing so many characters, swimming, and snorkeling at the beach! We can’t wait until we can come back again! Thanks for joining us, we’ll see you next week!
