We couldn’t imagine a better time to visit Disney World hotels.

Between the decorations and Christmas trees, the gingerbread displays, and new snacks, the holiday season is the perfect time to resort hop if you have time! But there’s a lot more going on at the hotels, too, so let’s see what kind of updates we have for you!

Riviera Food Updates

Le Petit Cafe

THREE new holiday snacks have arrived at Le Petit Cafe, and you know us — we HAD to try them. First, was the Chocolate Peppermint Mousse for $6.49. It’s made with dark chocolate mousse with a white chocolate peppermint mousse center, brownie base, peppermint marshmallow, and a truffle on top. Also, it looks like a Santa hat! It’s cute AND tasty!

We also checked out the Riviera Resort Gingerbread Cookie for $4.49. This is a Mickey-shaped gingerbread cookie with a sugar glaze with a dark chocolate back. This isn’t our favorite cookie in Disney World, and the dark chocolate was BITTER. It was also very crumbly. But be sure to try it for yourself!

We also tried the Panettone for $7.99. This is an Italian sweet bread with lemon flavoring and yellow raisins. We thought the bread was tasty, but it was also very dry.

Be sure to try it out, though, for yourself while it’s still available.

Riviera Merchandise Updates

La Boutique

We found a few new clothing items here. There’s a Tommy Bahama Jacket with “Disney’s Riviera Resort” on the front…

…and “La Vita Bella” on the back. It’s $150.

There’s also a new Tommy Bahama Women’s Sleeveless Shirt.

This shirt is $70.

Centertown Market Grab & Go

Some new seasonal items are available here, including a Traditional Rum Cake for $5.99 and a Walking in a Plant-Based Snowland Cupcake for $5.49.

A new cocktail is available. It’s a Jolly Colada. It’s basically a pina colada with a fancy hat.

Pop Century Food Updates

Petals Pool Bar

You can now get a Winter-rita for $14.50. It’s made with Termana Blanco Tequila, Triple Sec, White Grap, and Lime Juice with a Red Salt Rim and Lime Wheel.

You can also get the Rum Rum Reindeer for $16.50.

This drink is made with Fireball, Captain Morgan Rum, Cranberry Juice, Pomegranate Juice, Grand Marnier, Monin Vanilla Syrup, and Ginger Beer with a fresh Lime.

Animal Kingdom Lodge Food Updates

Maji Pool Bar

Maji Pool Bar just got three new food items, including the Shrimp Bakuli made with chilled poached shrimp, pickled carrots, edamame, and Basmati rice, with berbere aïoli for $14.99. Not only does this LOOK good, but it tastes good, too!

We also got to try the Spiced Pork Nachos, which are tortilla chips topped with spiced pork, beans, herbed crema, and kachumbari for $10.49. This dish has some great flavors — but be warned, it does pack a little bit of heat!

Next, we dug into the Short Rib Grilled Cheese for $12.99, which is made with braised beef short ribs that are cooked with a house-made spice blend, tamarind, and red wine.

This one ALSO packed a bunch of wonderful flavors, but let’s face it — we almost like anything with the word “cheese” in it.

The Mara

The Mara also got some new dishes! The Marinated Sun-dried Tomato and Herbed Ricotta Flatbread for $11.79. This dish is made with sun-dried tomatoes, fresh herb ricotta, tomato sauce, a four-cheese blend, and arugula. It is delicious!

Some new bowls are also available, including the Chermoula-spiced Shrimp Bowl for $14.49, which comes with grilled shrimp, pilau rice, kale slaw, cucumber-tomato salad, and chermoula sour cream. This tasted so fresh, and it’s another hit with us.

Finally, we tasted the Oak-grilled Chicken Bowl comes with marinated chicken thighs that are slow-roasted over the oak-fired spit for $12.99. We don’t know how Animal Kingdom Lodge did it, but this one wowed us, too!
