Singer/songwriter Taylor Swift has signed on to make her feature-film directorial debut with Searchlight Pictures under the Walt Disney Company umbrella. Variety has reported that Swift will be directing an original script of her own creation alongside the production company known for feature films like The Shape of Water, Black Swan, Napoleon Dynomite, Slumdog Millionaire, and Little Miss Sunshine.

The storyline, cast, and production details of the project are being kept under wraps ahead of the creative force’s leap into the film industry. The 11-time Grammy winner has previously directed eight of her own music videos as well as the 14-minute All Too Well: The Short Film.
