For the 2023 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, Refreshment Outpost has added a few items to its menu for the festival! Returning from last year are the plant-based Bratwurst and the perfectly Instagramable Artist Palette cookie, along with a variety of beers.

Plant-Based Bratwurst with Spicy Turmeric Aïoli, Coffee Barbecue Jackfruit and Slaw – $9.50
Admittedly, we were afraid when we read “spicy turmeric aioli”, but this vegan brat was quite tasty! The coffee barbecue jackfruit and coleslaw balances that spicy turmeric aioli we feared, and the brat itself was very flavorful.
The dish as a whole all worked well, and we were all impressed with this offering given the combination of unique ingredients.
Artist Palette Jumbo Chocolate Chip Cookie – $5.50
Completely changed compared to years past, the cookie now features higher quality icing, and is softer. While it’s not worth a trip to EPCOT on its own, it’s still a decent supermarket-tier cookie, and tons of fun to “paint” with the icing before chowing down.
*NEW* Salted Caramel Soft-Serve Ice Cream in a Waffle Cone – $6.00
We found this to be quite good. It’s a rich, caramel and salty flavor as you might imagine. However, it was not served in the advertised waffle cone.
It’s an interesting trek off the beaten path for ice cream. If you’re a caramel lover, this might be worth a try.
*NEW* Ivanhoe Park Brewing Co. Berries & Cream Sour Berliner, Orlando, FL (3.2% ABV) – $11.25
According to Ivanhoe Park Brewing Co. on Untappd, this beer is “brewed with raspberry, strawberry, vanilla, lemon zest, and lactose. Created in collaboration with our good friends at The Glass Knife.”
*NEW* Left Hand Brewing Co. Wook Bait IPA, Longmont, CO (6.0% ABV) – $11.25
From Left Hand Brewing Co.: “Enter a world where there is only peace and love, only happiness and hops. Wook Bait IPA is here to let you break free from the fetters of society and experience beer bliss. Lotus, Galaxy, and Azacca hops dance in a rhythmic drum circle. Peach and apricot notes chant euphorically with cantaloupe and honeydew, while pineapple, mango, and papaya notes jam with sweet orange and a hint of pine. This festival of hop flavors finds perfect harmony with a malt backbone of biscuit and bread. Discover the wonders of this 6.0% IPA and journey on.”
Central 28 Beer Company Wall Art Brown Ale, DeBary, FL (6.0% ABV) – $11.25
From correspondence with Central 28 Beer Company, Wall Art Brown Ale is “a rich oatmeal brown ale brewed with Madagascar vanilla beans. Vanilla, caramel, and toffee notes joined by hints of cocoa and toast along with an earthy and spicy hop character provide a balanced body to this malt-forward beer.”
