We got some BIG news from Disney this week.

Not only are Happily Ever After and EPCOT Forever returning, but we have an official TRON Lightcycle / Run opening date too! The EPCOT Festival of the Arts has just kicked off and you know we’re there to cover it all! There’s been some progress over at the various construction projects happening around Disney World, too — so let’s check them out!

Magic Kingdom

TRON: Lightcycle / Run

TRON Lightcycle / Run will be opening on April 4th, 2023! Disney shared the news after giving us a few clues on their social media pages, and we can’t wait to finally be able to experience this attraction! We’ve seen park passes start to fill up for opening day, so make sure you book yours ASAP if you want to ride.

Over in the park, we noticed that some construction walls had come down over near the Barnstormer!

Disney has replaced them with bushes instead — a sign that we’re just that much closer to the opening date!

EPCOT

Journey of Water – Inspired by Moana

We saw crews installing large, patterned canvasses over at the Moana attraction recently! The canvas was being attached to wooden-style beams and features a Polynesian-inspired pattern.

Here you can get an idea of the placement for this initial canvas. Hopefully, this will provide some shade for the attraction.

Roundup Rodeo BBQ

Crews have started painting some exciting drawings on the exterior of Roundup Rodeo BBQ! The building’s facade is supposed to be reminiscent of a cardboard box that Andy has colored with crayons.

We’re still waiting on an official opening date for this restaurant — so stay tuned!

Summer House on the Lake

Things are going vertical over at Summer House on the Lake! We can see quite a bit of structural work going on behind the scenes. This will be a new table service restaurant coming to Disney Springs and we can’t WAIT for the delicious eats to arrive sometime this year.
