Need a Break From Crowds While at Disney’s Hollywood Studios? Here’s the Best Spot!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios isn’t a large park and doesn’t swallow up crowds properly, so it always feels like the park is at capacity. Finding a quiet spot amid Star Wars fans and kids who love Toy Story with their entire hearts is very difficult.

On a day when I felt overwhelmed and just needed a break, I stumbled across the perfect spot. Believe it or not, it’s located next to the Tower of Terror, and that attraction is the opposite of calm. Just outside of the ride’s store, there’s a covered area that is blocked by a Joffrey’s cart. Here there’s plenty of seating, shade, and peace.

Part of me wanted to be selfish and keep this little nook to myself, but I came to my senses. I thought about everyone else that might be looking for an escape while walking down Sunset Blvd for the fifth time. Be sure to sit against the wall; it’s nice and cold!

On some trips, I’ll pack headphones so when I get to my special spot; I can listen to a podcast or soothing music for the next 15 to 30 minutes before I join the masses once again. This is also a great spot to escape the sun. The sun can be brutal during the warmer months; unfortunately, Hollywood Studios doesn’t have a lot of shade. When the temperatures are breaking record highs, it’s important to find a covered spot where you can sit, drink water and cool off.

Another incredible perk is watching Goofy and Max Goof interact with guests from the balcony while sitting here. Once you sit down, I suggest going to the My Disney Experience app and checking out the different times they come out. Seeing them there makes the spot even more unique, especially since Max Goof is part of the sighting.

I adore this little hideout, and I hope one day it can serve you and bring you a few minutes of peace while visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Do you have a hidden spot that you run to when you need a break at a Disney park? Let us know!
