You Can Use Genie+ at a Returning Princess Meet-and-Greet in Disney World

Even two years after Disney World’s historic closure and reopening, we’re still seeing some restaurants, character experiences, and entertainment JUST starting to return to the parks. Fantasmic! only returned last year, and the character meet-and-greets at Pete’s Silly Sideshow in Magic Kingdom only returned a week ago.

Ariel’s Grotto

We recently learned that ANOTHER character meet-and-greet was returning to Magic Kingdom: Ariel will soon be greeting guests again from Ariel’s Grotto. Now, we know even more details about that experience.

At the moment, Ariel is occasionally meeting guests in Fairytale Hall as one of the “Visiting Princesses.” But she’ll be returning to Ariel’s Grotto on January 22nd!

Now, we can imagine that the standby line to meet Ariel here is going to be long, but we now have proof that you’ll be able to skip that standby line and hop into the Lightning Lane with Genie+. How do we know this? We saw a new Lightning Lane sign at Ariel’s Grotto today! Remember that Genie+ is the paid service that allows you to skip the line at some Disney World rides and attractions. It costs between $15 and $29 per person, per day (depending on the time of year and crowd levels).

Ariel isn’t the only princess returning to a meet-and-greet spot, though. Enchanted Tales with Belle will return to Magic Kingdom on February 19th. We’ll be meeting up with both princesses when they return, so be sure to stay tuned to DFB for more!
